Cut a PSD

First you find an image you want to make an psd off.(My Image)
Paste it as a new image and resize it to the size you want.
Then cut it out and make a new image at the size you want BUT make the background color transparent.

I prefer to use a bright color as a "background" when I am cutting the psd cause the transparent background is sometimes hard too see if you have an white background on the psd, so if you prefer this then put a bright color on layer 1 and then you paste > as new layer.
So,now the psd is on top of the bright background color.
Okay,lets start on the hard part...
First you zoom in by 5 so the picture looks like lots of pixels.
Then you choose your Freehand tool and you can start cutting.
I prefer to use feather when I cut so it doesnt get so hard at the ends.
To do that you just draw up a piece you want to cut

and then go to Selections > Modify > Feater and choose number of pixels,I prefer working with 3 pixels but you can change that.
Press okay and the selected area will expand.

Then press the delete button a few times to get rid of the area you selected earlier and you have cutted out your first bit of the psd.

On mine you can see my bright background showing,if you only have the transparent background then that will show instead.
A tip is to zoom out every once in a while to see if the cutting looks okay from the normal size.
Repeat the step untill you have gotten rid of all the stuff around the psd and only the psd alone is on the new background.
Also remember to check the edges of the image for left-overs,its easy to forget stuff there.
When you are satisfied you will end up with what I have here

If you have bright background then you just delete layer 1 (the background) and then it turns out like this

And then you are done!
Remember to save the file as .PSD or else all your hard work is lost.

Making a PSD logo

Make a new image at 100 x 100 (or another size if you prefer that) in either transparent or color, doesnt matter.

Make a background you like and paste the psd in the logo (resize the psd if you feel its to big)

Then you make a white box on the top of the logo and make it 50% transparent.

And add a name like your site's name or etc.

then add a border,press Image > Add Borders and choose how many pixels of border you want,I use 1.
Save the logo as .JPG or .GIF and you are done.
